$6,000 prize given to raffle winners by Appolonia City at golf championship
The closing ceremony of the 83rd Ghana Golf Open Championship was filled with excitement on as the sponsor, Appolonia City, gave away $6,000 of prizes in a raffle draw. Three lucky winners each received a $2,000 discount on a plot at Nova Ridge, the first residential development within Appolonia City.
After winning one of the draws, Mona Meyers Lamptey expressed surprise. “This was not anticipated at all! I never imagined there will be a draw or that I will win. My husband and I spoke with the Appolonia City team on arrival, and we are looking forward to owning a plot at Nova Ridge. Thank you, Appolonia City!” The other winners were Smyly Bannerman, CEO of LandPro Consulting Limited, and Miz Khalid, CEO of Masked Advertising Agency.
Appolonia City presented its residential development Nova Ridge to patrons and attendees of the event over the long weekend. Members had the opportunity to interact with the sales team to understand the unique offering that Nova Ridge brings to the real estate market in Ghana.
The 83rd Ghana Golf Open Championship, the flagship golf championship event on the Ghanaian golf calendar, took place at the newly refurbished Achimota Golf Club, under the patronage of Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II. Patrons from other golf clubs across the country, including the Royal, Obuasi and Tema clubs, and neighbouring countries, were also in attendance.

The three-day championship showcased Ghanaian talents, pitted against the best from the sub region – Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Gambia. Notable golfers present included former women’s champion Mona Myers-Lamptey, Amos Koblah, George Osei, Vincent Torgah as well as enterprising young golfer Jessica Bearls Tei.
