APPOLONIA CITY OPENS THE OXFORD SHOW HOMES TO THE PUBLIC
Appolonia City, the mixed-use urban development near Accra, has launched its new turnkey residential development, The Oxford, with the opening of its first show homes, marking a major milestone for the project.
The Oxford, which broke ground in October 2015, is a residential development within Appolonia City covering a total area of 49 acres (20 hectares). The development is composed of uniquely designed two- and three-bedroom, semi-detached and detached modern homes built to the highest quality, with prices starting from USD 75,000.
There are currently three distinct house models – the Eaton, Barton and the Walton – which come in six different types at The Oxford.
“The Oxford is a fantastic addition to the residential offering at Appolonia City,” said Anthony Okyere, CEO of Appolonia City. “We now offer a range of options to residential buyers, whether they are looking for a plot to build their own home at our Nova Ridge development, or an off-the-shelf option from The Oxford.”
An open day held in parallel to the launch attracted large crowds to Appolonia City. Attendees viewed the progress of development across the 941-hectare site and selected plots at Nova Ridge, the ‘Buy and Build’ residential development, and toured the show homes at The Oxford.
Samuel Akan, an attendee at the event, commended the Appolonia development company for the work so far. “I came to the previous open day in October last year. The speed of development is very impressive,” he said. “I was delighted to see such a wide range of house options at the site.”
Appolonia City will be home to 88,000 residents and 30,000-day visitors and create tens of thousands of jobs during its 20-year, phased development. The project recently commissioned its first power substation, which will serve the first 4,000 residents at the project, and announced that Ghana Home Loans, the leading home finance institution in Ghana, acquired the first commercial plot at the development.
